Mozo Pelican-Marko Mozetič started his classical guitar studies at France Šturm music school in Ljubljana under professor Anton Črnugelj. Since his early years Marko was a fan of various music genres, presented to him by professor Uroš Rakovec and guitar legend Milan Ferlež. He continued his study at the Klagenfurt Music Conservatory, Austria, where he graduated from jazz guitar under professor Guido Jeszenszky and from instrumental pedagogy under professor Thomas Wallish. He also took classical guitar classes with Helmut Weinhandl. He played guitar in the Slovenian national television Big Band and Symphony Orchestras, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Maribor Opera house orchestra. He was a regular member of the Ljubljana City Theatre musical ensemble, in musicals conducted by Žarko Prinčič, such as Cabaret, Fiddler on the Roof, Sugar, The Witches of Eastwick. He also played in The Threepenny Opera, produced by Slovenian National Theatre Drama.
Marko has been constantly active as a composer and music arranger, who has been gaining his knowledge from renowned artists such as Peter Kleine Schaars, Rob McConnell and Edward Partyka. His music is being performed by recognized musicians from Slovenia and abroad: Steve Mead, Sun Beatzz, PeiYi Liu, Irena Yebuah Tiran, The Slovenian national television Big Band and Symphony Orchestras, Rožmarinke, String Quartet Feguš, Murat&Jose, idr.. His original piece titled »Tri primorske pripovedi« (Three tales of the Primorska Region), performed by A. Kacjan on solo flute, won second place at the International Wind Orchestra Festival in Berlin. Marko's desire to broaden his horizons has led him to the USA, where he received scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston to study composition and arranging.
Mozo's life goals include climbing all the Slovenian mountains over 2000 metres and sailing around the world.
